A specialist engineering consultancy is seeking a Security Consultant with a strong background in physical and/or electronic security systems to join their growing Atlanta team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-security environments—including K-12, Higher Education, government, and commercial projects—while influencing strategy and design from concept through to delivery.

🛡️ Role Overview
You will lead the design and coordination of integrated security systems, ensuring the effective protection of people, assets, and infrastructure. Working closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you’ll deliver tailored solutions aligned with operational needs, regulatory requirements, and evolving risk profiles.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

Develop security strategies and system designs for new builds and retrofit projects
Specify and coordinate access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection systems
Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments across varied environments
Collaborate with clients to define security objectives and operational requirements
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices
Produce technical documentation, drawings, and specifications
Coordinate system integration with technology, MEP, and architectural teams
Support tendering processes, contractor selection, and construction phase activities
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and regulatory developments
Contribute to security policy, governance, and incident response planning

🎯 Preferred Qualifications

Degree in Security Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
4+ years’ experience in security consulting or system design
Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and convergence with physical security
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., PSP, CPP, CISSP) are advantageous
US Citizenship or eligibility for clearance may be required for certain projects
